On Windows, neXt always start in non-maximized mode, and I always click to maximize it. Maybe that state of the window could be preserved? Or maybe just start in "maximized" always. (is anyone using it in a smaller window? Probably not..)
Start the simulator, press the esc key and select Settings > Graphics. Then click the screen size pull-down menu and select full screen. Open the menu and click on quit sim. If you restart the simulator now, it will start in full screen mode.
If the simulator is still started in a window, your personal neXt folder has incorrect user rights.
Please note, the screen size and screen mode will not be saved if you change the window using the Windows functions. Windows functions are the icons in the title bar of the window.
What to do when neXt forgets own setups and license information: Rename or delete the file 'C:\Users\ user name \Documents\neXt\prefs.ini'. This file contains all the user settings. If this doesn't help, rename or delete the complete neXt folder 'C:\Users\ user name \Documents\neXt'.
Thanks for info. What I meant was "windows" buttons (maximize, minimize etc.). But I found the way to do this - I set it in shortcut properties to start maximized - works fine.
