Just got Beta 1.445 installed,... first thing I tried was an autorotate(G570),... and it seems like the disk just keeps spinning, a long time,.. even when adding positive pitch? I do believe this is opposite the problem of in the released version? Anyone else notice this?
The Lighting looks FN amazing!!!! I slid the ambient light to 80%,.. and it is now exactly what I would expect to see irl,... when I'm a ways out (no zoom, full field of view), it totally looks like real, when you can't exactly tell which way heli is facing (of course you know, cause your flying). This is great for practicing, as I mentioned before, irl, sometimes heli looks like its facing opposite what it really is,.. and now NeXT replicates that nicely!
I wanted to try out some other sceneries, but there does not seem to be a download button in beta,.. is there a workaround?
I guess that I should play around for a bit, before I comment, on things I notice right off,.. lol.
After playing around with more autorotates, and messing around trying to stall blades,.. it may not be as off as I first thought! When on the ground, it doesn't seem like real,. but I'm sure there is a tradeoff,... Up way high,.. it could be very close! I've only a little of experience with autorotating 570,.. and mostly smaller,.. along with other sims(???),.. so I only know how it should look, spooling down close to, and on the ground. Can't wait to hear if this is real close to real or not, cause if it is,.. I wouldn't be so scared to try it more often,... HS seems easy to keep up, now!
I have not made the setup by myself. Jonas Schelpe made this. I think, the 'Power Consumption Mechanik' in the autorotation settings is too low. I have increased this to 0.00012. You can get in reality different performances for this parameter. When your tail belt has a strong tension, these amount should be higher. And when you lower the tension of your tail belt, these amount can be lower.
