Hello,

I have tried to use Next with my Oculus Rift but I am not able to get a good resolution. When the heli goes a bit far (3 meters or so) the definition of the heli is much worse than using the monitor.

I have used the Oculus Tray Tool, raising the supersampling to 2.0 or 2.2, but the lack of definition of the heli still persists.

Could you give me a clue about how to setup the oculus configuration to improve the resolution?

Hi,

this is a hardware problem and not a software problem. Supersampling is already used to calculate a better image. However, supersampling cannot change the hardware that is the root of this problem.

For example, if you fly away, the helicopter must be displayed at 50 pixels. Each pixel can only have one color. The supersampling makes this smoother, but not sharper.

VR is useful when you're not flying away. And if you want to fly away, you need more pixels. There are VR devices with more pixels. But some of them have other problems like smearing.

All the best,
Klaus
