Moving Config Between Computers

Hi,

Is it practical to move the INI file to a friend's computer, setup my config on his system and move the flat text INI back to my computer? We both have licenses for the software. However, he runs Mac, and I run Windows. If so, is it as simple as putting the INI file on a USB stick, making a copy of his INI file, and then restoring his INI when it's all done?

Hi Mike,

not really, since your computer's fingerprint and your license are also included.

Do you need a feature to export all settings without license information?

Of course, you could first remove the license under Settings > License tab and then exit the simulator and copy the prefs.ini file. Then your license would not be included.
