Has any one else had any trouble setting up a X10S on Open TX in this sim ?
I had to do a very convoluted work around to get there.
If any one else is stuggling I will pass on the way I got there but it was a pain in the RASE

I have never tested it myself. I only have the following: https://www.cgm-online.com/rc-flight-sim...next-usb_e.html (section FrSky Taranis)
If you have a better explanation, it would be very helpful if you post it here.

I have had no problems with my X10S on OpenTX. I am not sure where your problem was, so I will try to explain what I did.
a) In the X10S Radio Setup page, I have the USB Mode set to 'Ask', so when I plug my USB cable in, the radio allows me to select 'USB Joystick (HID)'. But nowadays I am using the FrSky XSR-SIM USB dongle, which contains an XSR receiver. This means you can bind the tx to this receiver and have a wireless connection.
b) When setting up the input device, I go to MISC / Input Device / Model, then I select Transmitter, and go through the calibration steps. For the Rescue and Self Leveling functions I go to MISC / Input Device / Functions and set them up.
