How should I configure neXt?

Hi,

I have a doubt about configuring and using neXt...

Should I use a completely CLEAN memory on my transmitter and make all the adjustments in the software?
Or should I use the REAL memory (that I use on my real helicopter) for getting in the software all my adjustments?

Best,
Bartok

Hi Bartok,

Yes, you should use a clean model in your transmitter. It's best to use a fixed-wing preset here.

Just configure your two sticks in Settings > Input Device. It is recommended to configure only the autorotation switch in the Settings > Input Device > Features tab. You should not assign a throttle channel and the flight conditions are usually not needed in a sim.

Here are some examples: https://www.cgm-online.com/rc-flight-sim...next-usb_e.html

All the best,
Klaus

Hi Klaus,
Would you have any knowledge on this question as I’ve just purchased the next sim,
the blades are spinning with no throttle input is this correct? I’ve tried reducing the rpm in the settings which results in very little or no lift.
I’ve tried loading fixed wing and the throttle response is correct so I’m wondering if that’s the way it’s supposed to be with the helicopter.

Cheers
Pete

Hi Pete,

please do not use the throttle input channel (I think you assigned this under Settings > Input Device > Functions).

Go to Settings > Input Device > Functions and reset the line Throttle.

All the best,
Klaus

Hi, Klaus!

On Settings > Functions > Throttle I don’t have any control assigned to THR.

On Planes, the engine starts when I use the stick, but in helis it is always on...

Then you have assigned the throttle channel as pitch? I'm confused because I don't know what you have done.

I think no, because when I move left stick up & down I only see moving the Ch4 at input monitor.

I set the pitch curve on the model I used to use. On the transmitter, I have a plain curve.

Is it correctly done?

So... why the engine does not stop when left switch is down?

Why should it? In reality, you use an ESC to hold the rpm, and the motor doesn't stop until you activate autorotation in your transmitter.

You are not using a throttle curve. And if you really need a throttle curve, you can assign it under Settings > Input device > Functions. But remember ... this is not the recommended way to use it here.
