RX2SIM - Wired\\3.5MM adaptor cable
Anyone know the polairty or correct arrangement for plugging in the 'wired' adaptor cable for 3.5mm plug to 'TX' - in regards to the Servo lead end plugging into the RX2SIM port?
Assuming it plugs into the patch port (1st 3 pins) - there are no +\-\signal markings on the all black servo lead - so is it metal contacts up or down?
I cannot post links yet, but if you google RCWare RX2sim 3.5mm adaptor you will see the cable I am referring too.
In trying to get Next to work with RX2SIM - without a spare RX right now, so thats why using the above proper RcWARE cable, assuming it supposed tgo support PPM signal via 3.5m socket to my JR\Spektrum etc.

Ok thanks - I will keep trying. I do have the contacts down etc as well (that looked logical as with all other servo type connectors)
I have it on Red (Next) - PPM and also tried Purple PPM ... but the PPM mode wont go solid - and i see nothing in the Sim. If if I plugin the DSMX satalite from my Heli and use that in RED-DSMX (RX) mode it works fine.
Unlug the RX sat, plug in the PPM cable, plug that into My TX and fire up Next - or any variation of cable first, TX first, Sim first etc - doesnt see the signals from PPM cable yet.
Update - still havent gotten this to work, it just wont "see" the PPM single from the TX when using the 3.5mm - adaptor lead.
I have verified the adaptor cable is fine using a multimeter with continunity mode.
I have connected it correctly to the TX and RX2SIM, the TX is OFF - but when plugging in it turns on like normal and displays sim mode.
I have selected (on RX2SIM) Purple mode - PPM for other Sims and for NeXt obviously Red, Blue PPM mode
- neither get a solid blue PPM signal.
Have now sent emails to freakware and reseller /sigh. Hopefully not a bad unit.

You should then use the satellite receiver. That works for sure.
The cable works with many transmitters, but not all. For this reason we do not sell these cables in our shop.
When testing the cable, be sure to check if your transmitter requires a 3.5mm stereo or mono plug and where the signal is. Sometimes it helps when you turn the servo connector in the RX2SIM.

Thanks for that info, I dont have spare recievers - I 'borrowed' a redudant Spektrum satalite I took it off my heli and can test using DX7, but i dont want to pull of my only JR RX off my good heli. I purchased the cable at the same time as the RX2SIM , although still expensive for what it is, was still cheaper than purchasing various other RXs of multiple radios and although I could have made a mono\stereo\etc cable with a servo plug quite easily - I deliberatly purchased the RX2SIM RCWare version of the cable, to avoid any issues .. and now finding out its not reliable either.
Its listed on other sites as compatible with Spektrum etc.. so no excuse really for it not to work if its advertised as that, but I guess like you say, thats why your shop doesn't sell it.
I have now tried it on 3 friend transmitters, of all different brands, so I am convienced either I have a faulty unit, or the "PPM" wired mode just isnt coded that great on the RX2SIM.
Appreciate all the support, i realise this is not your issue etc but if I can get RCWare to confirm this is a known issue, just not told to customers, well I can force a refund of $20 for the cable and spend that on a cheap brand RX 'copy' I guess just to use for Sim.
