One of my favorite realisms of NeXt is how the heli disappears into the clouds. This is Great!!! However, I think, especially on certain cloudy Sceneries, this should happen a little bit sooner, ie: clouds should be a bit closer.

Another thing I think could use a little tweaking,... I find that, in real life,.. between the glare and the shadows, its hard to tell which way my heli is facing. I've tried all different graphic settings, which have
gotten this closer to Real, but I find the heli never really gets lost, I can always tell which way heli is facing. I would rather have this more realistic for practicing! Maybe some more sun glare that almost blinds you, lol.

The one other thing I would wish for, is a little more of a blade pop sound, when doing blade stops!!!

I have used every sim on the market. In my opinion, NeXt is by far, the most realistic, and definitely my favorite!!! Big thanks to the Team, keep up the Great Work!!!!

Hi Josh,

some interesting suggestions (clouds). :-)

We are working on a big update since two months. We are using physically based shaders: To do so it follows principles of physics, including energy conservation (meaning that objects never reflect more light than they receive), Fresnel reflections (all surfaces become more reflective at grazing angles), and how surfaces occlude themselves (what is called Geometry Term), among others.

This makes the difference. And of course without purchasing a new computer.

'Improving the blade sound' is also on the ToDo list.

I don't want to open a new topik. The GUI looks ok on most cases but on 4K resolution the fonts are too tiny. Usable but the app lost it's comfort.

Hi,

I know. That's on the to do list. It has not a high priority because it is a lot of work and the GUI display gets much slower then. I have to use an other library for displaying the hi dpi menus.
