Crash after few minutes

Hello everyone,

I have been using Next for many years now and so far I have never had a problem.

Since the last updates (I do not know which exactly) the game crash each time after a few minutes, the sticks remain fixed but the helicopter still moves with the last orders recorded.
Sometimes I can return to the menu and then leave the game. If I restart it I still have to unplug and reconnect my radio for it to work again.

I thought the problem was Windows so I reinstalled the whole system and the problem is still present.

I have a GTX 970 graphics card with the latest drivers to days (I have no worries about games or others, it only plant with Next).

At the screen, I have a screen 144hz benq.
When I set the display frequency of my screen at 60hz the game crash. If I set my screen to 144hz the game crash is also plus I have a message to report that the number of FPS is too important.

At my radio, I have a radio vbar control touch with the original cable (no worries about another PC so the problem does not come from the radio).

Thank you in advance for your help because it becomes painful to restart the simulator every 2 minutes.

It sounds like an antivirus program blocks the neXt. Which anti-virus programs did you install?

If you only use Micosoft Defenter, then you should just go to your user folder and delete there the folder neXt. Path: your username/Documents/neXt.

If you like to run the neXt with 144 fps, you should switch off the frame warning in Settings > Graphic.

Hello Klaus,

Despite having reinstalled my machine completely the problem is again present

I have no antivirus installed on my machine.

When starting next for the first time, after a few minutes the software crashes (I lose the commands), sometimes I manage to quit it but generally I have to restart the PC.

Generally during the second start it does not crash anymore but it becomes painful.

I deleted the Path folder: your username / Documents / neXt but the problem persists.

I installed the software on several other PCs without worries.

That sounds like a problem with your computer. I think reinstalling Windows and installing the latest drivers for your motherboard and graphics card would solve this problem.

Can you take a look into the Windows Hardware Manager? Are there any yellow exclamation marks?

I just looked in the task manager is everything is OK.

In addition, I have the latest drivers for my graphics card.

Can you tell me in which folder this logs next?

I have no concerns apart from Next.

Windows typically delivers the crash log file after the application crashes. The simulator does not write logs.

Hello Klaus,

Despite reinstalling Windows and my graphics card, the problem is still present. When I start the PC for the first time, when I use next, after a few minutes the commands block.
Now that I use my radio with a USB sport different from all my other equipment, I realize that it is simply the radio commands that no longer respond, so I can return to Windows by cons I have to restart my PC to operate my radio again.

I was seen in the "Documents \ Next" folder and I can see that at the time of the crash the "prefs.ini" file had just been rewritten because at today's date, do you have any idea what who can cause this?

Hello Guillaume,

can you try the neXt v1.651? Some minor bugs have also been fixed ... maybe a solution.

The prefs.ini is written automatically after closing the main menu. This is the reason why this file has always the last date that you used the simulator.

You say only the USB input freezes? Then you may have a driver problem. Did you have to install a driver for your V-Bar Control Touch?

Is there an energy saving function that lets an important system service fall asleep? This could cause this malfunction. Please take a closer look at your energy settings. If you use a laptop, use the external power supply and not the internal battery.

All the best,
Klaus
