I get this error when I try to download sceneries. Is there any way to force Next to look in a specific location. Somehow it is looking in a bad directory or on some server somewhere. The Next exe is located on my hard drive.

Hi,

what operating system are you on?

Have you moved your personal documents folder to the Microsoft cloud? I ask because this kind of use sometimes causes problems.

Which version of the simulator are you using?

Since neXt v2.003 you have this option: Windows systems: alternative user folder possible. Define the path in a text file with the name custom.txt and place this file in the neXt program folder and there in the AssetBundles folder. Preset is: C:\Users\ user name \Documents\neXt\Assets\

All the best,
Klaus

Thank you for your reply.

Windows 10 Enterprise - X64

As I get to know more, it looks like I'm on a 'managed' computer and recently they have moved everything to some cloud drive with some management software that makes it look like my normal desktop.

So, I'm only allowed to download the software to C:...../Saved Games for some reason, it won't let me put my own programs in "Documents."

So, you suggestion did solve the problem.

I put the text file "custom.txt" with my path where I put the software ( below ), in the AssetBundles folder and it now works!

"C:\Users\MARSHD\Saved Games\CGM-RC-Flight-Simulator_Data\Assets\"

THANK YOU!!
