New bee question about scenery

I try to start this hobby. I haven't bought my heli yet. I bought NeXt sim to practice before I am going to buy the heli. (My aim is OMPHOBBY M2 EVO.)

I understand that NeXt can help to do custom scenery but you need 16k photos which I don't have. I only have a Ricoh Theta 360 camera which is I think 4K only. Well it doesn't matter. My backyard has only 15mx15m obstacle free space for me to play. I just wonder how can I limit the downloaded Custom Scenery to this size so that I can comfortably practise my future heli?

Hi,

15m sounds like a lot, but can be a very limiting range for an M2. I suggest doing the first flights on a larger area without buildings and trees.

The Custom Scenery option does not have colliders. But I think I can add a sizing option to adjust width, height, length and pilot position in one of the next updates.

In the meantime you can use the sports hall:
- Open the menu with Esc
- Go to the Scenery tab and click Download Sceneries
-> On the left you can see the installed scenery and on the right the downloadable scenery
- Click there on “Sports Hall Bargtheheide” to install it

You can also use a regular field and one of the training options:
- Select a regular field
- Open the menu with Esc and go to the Training tab
- Scroll down to the “Traffic Cone” option and select “Square”.
-> then you can adjust the size and distance to the pilot
Of course, you can also fly outside the box, but you can also activate the “Marking” training option (also located in the “Training” tab).

All the best,
Klaus

All the best,
