A bug with widgets

I'm using recent version, but it happened before too. After some time of running neXt, some widgets at the top of the screen start to update slowly or not at. This happens to RPM, Pitch, Ail/Ele/Yaw. For some reason others like Altitude, Distance work fine. See vid:

It looks like you have found a bug. But it would be a great help when you can describe what you have done just before the widgets have stopped to work.

I have switched to the same model, features and flying site and cannot see an error there.

Hi Klaus

Yes, the problem is it happens after some time. I tried to find what is causing it, I thought maybe it is alt+tab'ing to other apps maybe, or using time scale (I switch that a lot).. but no luck finding the cause so far. I will keep an eye on that.

Try this:
- start next
- enable training -> time scale
- slide time scale down to 10
- pitch, rpm, ail/ele/rud stops updating or updates very rarely

I'm pretty sure I had it with other time scales too. After some time of flying I always have this problem. In the case above, sliding back to 100% fixes the problem, but I think this is related so should make it possible to find.

Then this is not really a bug because when you take a look at the stick movements, you see why this is updating so slowly. The timescale slows down not only the simulation speed... it slows down also the input and everything which is done once per frame.

When I go back to 100%, everything is working as expected. You have a time scale of 50% in your video. I'm wondered because this is working very well. It must be anything else.

But I found a bug there. When I change the time scale in the time scale window by using the text input field. Then the time scale doesn't get updated. I'll fix that instantly. Thank you very much for your hint.

Hmm, on my PC it almost disables updating of these values, or make them update once per 10 or 20, or even 30 seconds. This does not look like scaled by time, because then at 10% it would be 10x slower. These things update more at a faster rate than 1/sec at 100%.

This also happens if I start neXt and 10% is already there.

I give full collective, so I would expect to see something different than 0 pitch

If we're by bugs of time scale, here's another one:
- have some initial time scale, let's say 55%
- change to 10% , using a slider
- press right arrow on the panel, to increase by 5%
- you get 60 instead of expected 15.

Thank you very much for reporting this. This happens when I add features on the fly. I have just fixed that. It is included in the next update.

In the meantime I know where the GUI update problem was. Because I don't like to produce in each frame a lot of garbage in memory, I have developed a specific way to change text strings. Now I have modified this.

A thousand thanks for your suggestions.
