Hello,

would be nice to add a wall clock to the 'Widgets'.

And after switching from the sim to another window (by pressing Alt+Tab) and then switch back to the sim the config menue opens although it was not open before. Is it possible to change this behavior?

Thanks a lot

Jochen

As to "Alt+Tab" I believe neXt uses "Alt" to open the menu, so it opens it before you switch to another app. I think this is a way for next to, kind of "pause" the game. And then, when you come back to neXt, the menu is there.

For me this is not a problem, but I would welcome some better "pause when the window is inactive", especially something that would not use the CPU / GPU. Maybe just stop rendering when in background, or slow it down to some very very low FPS...

Yes, that's the reason. You can open the menu with ALT.

I can't stop rendering as long as the simulator window is not active as you will be thrown out from an online flight meeting when the Skype app gets shown.

Aa, I see. How about pausing to idle cpu and gpu when pausing with X key?

the menue can also be opened with the ESC key. Is it possible to deactivate that ALT opens the menue? So that the menue is not open when returning (with Alt+Tab) to the sim window.
I switch often between windows (change the music, take a break,...), so it is kind of annoying. Thanks

Hi Jochen,

I think a clock is really not needed in the simulator, since most operating systems already have a clock in the toolbar. You need to know that this feature constantly costs GPU and CPU time. This is because creating a string in C# creates garbage in memory that needs to be cleaned up by the garbage collection.

All the best,
Klaus

Just on a side note, I find it much better with ALT key removed..

me too. Thanks Klaus. And also I now use (on Windows 7) the Windows+1 (or 2, 3,4...) key combination to switch between Windows. Before I used Alt+Tab and the simulator window always got pushed to the end of the list.

Happy flying!
