Hi Guys
Great forum.

I have just successfully downloaded neXt sim onto my mac and would like to know if the Spektrum dx6i would work with this setup.

Hi,

thank you very much for your interest in the neXt. Yes, the DX6i is working. But you need also an compatible USB cable.

When you use the DX6i, you should use a compatible USB cable like these:

Or this:

Have you seen the workshops on our webpage?

@Klaus

Sorry for hijacking this thread but I would like to ask an additional question which might be useful for the original poster as well:

I got my DX6i working fine with Next sim. However, I cannot get "throttle hold" switch working. I assigned the TH switch to "Autorotation" in Next settings. When switching TH, DX6 internally goes to "Throttle Zero" which Next Sim interprets as "full negative pitch" which brings the heli down quickly :-)

Any solution for this? Otherwise great product - looking forward to do some more winter training. Bye for now...

Hello Hans,

it's best to use the DX6 with a fixed wing preset instead of a helicopter preset. Then the autorotation switch changes the landing gear in the transmitter. This means, it will switch only one channel. You see this channel in the neXt and there you can assign this channel as switch for the autorotation.

Helps this?

All the best,
Klaus

Thanks for the advise Klaus. It works. Switched to a plane preset and had to re-locate the gear switch physically to the other side of the TX in order to have it in the proper position (right index finger). Works good enough to simulate hand position of my DX9 which I use IRL at the field. Thanks again!
